EcoOpus Agri Ventures Pvt ltd (EOAVPL) aims to reconstruct the agri supply chain for efficient and assured aggregation of surplus biomass (agri-residue) by correcting the anomalies in the present agri-supply chain system. Presently, crops are being threshed in decentralized mode wherein threshing machines/harvesters visit the individual fields of farmers. Envisaged system advocates centralized and integrated threshing/harvesting system for crops which reduces the costs incurred by farmers and simplifies the biomass collection system. Envisaged system thus reduces physical losses through minimal handling, reduces transaction time and cost by switching to high capacity sophisticated machines using electric power instead of diesel. In nutshell, it creates the win-win situation for both farmers and processors (Grain & Biomass) by reducing time cost and effort at farmers’ side and assuring the quality and quantity of grain & biomass for respective processors. Further, it also mitigates the risks borne by the farmers in the present system which helps increase farmers’ income to the tune of 30-40% through reduces costs & physical losses. As envisaged activity tries to organize the harvesting and threshing activity, it aims to create lot of employment and entrepreneurial opportunities at village level thus helps in plugging the migration towards urban centers. It help recover the biomass/agri residue efficiently which, most of it, is otherwise burnt off in the fields. It is further be value added into power, bio-ethanol or solid bio-fuels which reduces the import bill of the nation and also creates green economy for the rural areas.
