Astro Hillstay is Odisha’s first-of-its-kind, community-led astrotourism initiative, run by tribal communities and local self-help groups (SHGs), with strong involvement from women. It creates jobs for local youth, empowers women through community ownership, and supports sustainable development in remote tribal areas. Visitors enjoy stargazing along with authentic cultural experiences — from local crafts and folklore to eco-friendly living — all while directly benefiting the community.
