"N.Sriniwasa Prabhu" is the Managing Director of eGreen Compliance Consultants, an Environmental Consulting firm. Previously worked for a US-EPA funded project at Center for Particle Studies, Pittsburgh, USA. He holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering (Carnegie MellonUniversity, USA) and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Anna University, Guindy) and Dr.Saravananae is an Eminent Professor from Department of Civil Engineering at Puducherry Technological University who guided and supported for the subject startup innovation. CO2 Sequestration Facility: On behalf of eGreen, Mr. Sriniwasaprabhu Nehrukumar had designed, constructed and demonstrated a pilot scale CO2 sequestration facility at Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) Thermal Power Plant at Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. Our Carbon Capture Technology will enable abundant available fossil fuel like coal (especially for a developing economy like India) to become clean low-carbon emitting energy source. This will ensure climate responsibility whilst conserving economic growth and energy security. We have developed and demonstrated technology to use naturally available biological medium (algae) to capture CO2 from the flue gas emission. CO2 rich algae can later be used as biomass. Post design phase, we developed a lab scale model to model and tweak the parameters of the biological design. Following which we set up a pilot plant of the biological reactor in the Thermal Power Plant (TPS-II) of Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL) located at Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. This project was implemented as per the MoU signed between Puducherry Technological University and NLCIL.
