Elevn Product Note Elevn is a dating platform that was founded to solve three problems in today’s dating industry: (1) safety of females; (2) ratio of males to females; (3) quality of males on the app. We observed that females feel unsafe on apps due to lack of proper moderation (unverified men) and paywalls, which discourages them to join online platforms and leads to a high ratio (>5) of males to females on the app. Collectively, these factors undermine the trust and safety of dating apps, leading to poor user engagement and retention. We created Elevn to change this. Our platform is designed to be safe and empowering for females, which is the single most important, yet unmet, need of females on dating apps. Elevn’s mission is to create a world where females feel safe forming online relationships, and in turn are encouraged to extend their relationship from an online to a physical setting. In the long run, Elevn aims to become a relationship concierge, which provides value through offline partnerships that also appeals to couples, in addition to singles, who are already being catered by existing dating apps today. Elevn is different than other dating apps by solving three major problems: ● Quality of males ○ As part of onboarding, females invite known males to join the app (sibling, relative, friend, etc.) and periodically revalidate them every year in order for them to stay on the platform ○ Females are prompted to leave notes on the male’s profile, or endorse them, to guarantee a sense of mutual trust, engagement, and community ○ Males, without a recommendation, join a waitlist unless (1) they successfully invite two other females to join the app; or (2) are approved by 5 other females on the app; if approved, they pay a higher subscription fees in the latter case ● Ratio of male-to-female ○ Females invite up to two males per year, but unlimited females, thus maintaining a ratio of 2:1 (vs. >5 in traditional dating apps) ○ This helps us primarily target females
