Water crisis is a looming problem in our country and there is an increasing gap between water available and its demand. There is hence a dire need bridge the gap between the two and build resilience in the community and create water sustainability in crisis months. But currently managing water is time consuming, needs technical expertise and often ends us as a one-time exercise. Through various field visits we understood that this is because of the data on surface and ground water being scattered and the decision making on water governance being highly centralized leaving little scope for community to participate and engage in developing water resilience. Thus, the need is to aid multi-stakeholders govern water in a participatory approach. Our solution's aims to follow a multi-stakeholder collaborative approach by enabling bottom-up participatory planning process. We achieve this through an end-to-end service aided by a technology enabled water governance tool named MIDAS. The steps involved in the service are as follows: • Triangulating data from different sources using remote sensing technologies, IOT etc. and bringing them onto one platform. • Simplifying the data collection process through standardized guidelines and maintaining cloud-based information storage for easy access to historical data. • Showcase the status of water availability and use in a village and the various factors that affect its quantity on a web-based dashboard. • Empowering local authorities and users with maps, graphs to identify and plan intervention scientifically. • Providing personalized assistance from water experts to design any interventions based on on-ground situation. • Assisting gram panchayat with advisories on water management which serve as early warning system along with simulations showcasing the consequences of it on current scenario through a user-friendly mobile platform. • Aiding the stakeholder’s on-ground team in mobilizing the community by providing them with personalized videos, reports and content that can be used to make posters, water boards etc.
