Elvikon India Pvt Ltd is a pioneer in the use of nanotechnology to create unique, innovative and cost-effective products that benefits to food and healthcare sector. Elvikon in collaboration with Innoscentia AB (Sweden) has developed a smart label that relies on sensor ink coated on interdigitated electrode (IDE). The sensor ink detects the meat spoilage level by reacting to biogenic gasses (VOCs) which are the direct measures of growing bacteria of the food spoilage. This innovation enables the food chain to keep full traceability and control of the food quality. Thus, leading to prolonged shelf life for packed food and in some cases up to 100%.
