“Hint” is the first nutrition app in India that provides Indian food nutrition data for 31 essential nutrients, including 12 vitamins and nine minerals. It is the only application that could deliver evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to patients with chronic diseases and prevent chronic diseases. The standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols are based on the latest research and guidelines published until 2020. Being a mobile application in the digital health and nutrition space, it is easily scalable to the entire Indian market and other developed markets. Every 1 in 4 Indians has a risk of dying from the non-communicable disease (NCD) before they reach the age of 70. Besides, these diseases leave them vulnerable to COVID-19. An unhealthy diet and a sedentary lifestyle are the main risk factors for NCDs. A good diet plan and advice on improving physical activity can help prevent or manage NCDs. Currently, anecdotes and social proofs are the basis of such diet plans and advice. There is no regulation or standard nutrition database for nutrition practice in our country. Due to these issues, qualified clinical dietitians and doctors find it challenging to help people who need evidence-based nutrition care. We aim to change that through Clearcals (HINT App). We recommend personalized nutrition driven by data to manage or prevent chronic diseases. Our team of clinical dietitians, engineers, and scientists at Clearcals has developed a mobile app called "HINT" for this purpose. Through HINT, anyone can get access to personalized nutrition plans. Besides, they can track their daily food and physical activity using the app. Qualified clinical dietitians design and deliver nutrition plans for each user. Also, they guide users on behavior change through regular health coaching.
