We are a Life technology startup company with unique therapeutic technology for society from the field of bone tissue engineering. We are in the stage of development of biological maxillofacial bone implants which can completely reconstruct the comminuted bone defects. Also, we are trying to fulfill the huge demand for biomaterial which supports natural bone growth with self-degradation property to avoid multiple surgeries and adequate mechanical strength. We have already invented novel bioactive composition filament which makes the reconstruction process feasible and economical using 3D printing technology. We have confirmed the highly amorphous nature of our material, which helps to react with surrounding body fluid environment, also in vitro mineralization which speeds up new bone formation. A channelized system is being developed with hospitals to collect the DICOM images of patient’s mandible defect to extract the bone-defect image with the help of sophisticated software for printing the patient-specific defect area. We also have started preclinical studies to check the feasibility before going for humans, meanwhile applied for Patent to protect the Intellectual property. As there are no customized bone grafts of this kind available in the market, we anticipate a huge market for our product nationally and internationally. Moreover, SkelRegen research group is also busy in finding problems from the society to carry out research for workable solutions, as a key strategy for growth. The research at SkelRegen is supported by multiple funding agencies. SkelRegen has received BIG Grant from Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Now we are getting attracted by other startups with similar motto, venture capitalists, other state and central Govt. funding. Now our research wing occupies the Technological Incubation Centre facility at Indian Institute of Hyderabad, where we are getting an excellent research environment for multi-disciplinary research and also administrative advice and suggestions which we are considering as strategic benefits in expediting our journey towards the goal for the well-being of society.
