We are a design startup ,currently focusing on building NAND controllers. NAND controller is a basic component in Solid state drives. SSDs (Solid State Drives) are high-speed storage devices used in a wide range of applications due to their speed, reliability, and efficiency compared to traditional hard disk drives (HDDs). Here are the main uses of SSDs across different domains: 1)Consumer Use: Laptops & Desktops: Faster boot times, application loading, and file access. Gaming PCs: Quick game load times and smoother performance. External Storage: Portable SSDs for fast data transfer and backup. 2) Enterprise / Data Center : Servers & Databases: Low latency and high IOPS for handling large volumes of requests. Cloud Storage: High-performance storage backends for services like AWS, Azure, GCP. Virtualization: Faster VM boot times and data access in virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). High-Performance Computing (HPC): Efficient storage for large-scale simulations and data processing. 3)Mobile & Embedded Systems : Smartphones & Tablets: Internal storage for apps, media, and system files. IoT Devices: Reliable local storage in edge computing nodes and gateways. Digital Cameras: Fast writing of high-resolution images and 4K/8K videos. 4)Specialized Use Cases : Automotive Systems: Used in infotainment systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and black box data logging. Industrial Applications: Rugged SSDs in automation, robotics, and harsh environments. Surveillance Systems: Fast write speed for continuous HD video recording. 5)Creative Workloads : Video Editing: Smooth editing of large 4K/8K video files without lag. 3D Rendering: Fast asset loading and real-time rendering. Photography: Quick access and transfer of RAW image files. NAND controller is currently controlled by few Korean,Taiwanese & Chinese companies. We want build a build a NAND controller IP which we will use as a base for building NAND controllers for above mentioned use-cases.
