About the company (“Essentially AI”): • The venture is led by a combination of an ex-McKinsey and Company consultant with deep experience in big data analytics as well as turning around businesses in industrial sectors such as ports, mineral processing, and mining, as well as a formerly practicing Chartered Accountant with in-depth knowledge of internal processes, accounting, taxation and compliance regulations in India particularly in small and medium sized enterprise (SMEs) segment. • We are looking to use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at scale to automate repetitive tasks carried by SMEs. • Such an offering is not available in India today, and therefore has huge potential to optimise the way SMEs work across industries and functions • The end state would be a software as a service offering that SMEs can get onboarded onto quickly and efficiently, and incorporate into their existing processes with minimal hassle and disruption • We have $2m in initial funding raised to build out the venture. • On the side we are also looking at predictive modelling techniques for varied use cases.
