Addressing the most pressing issues in Mobility The mobility industry has long played the role of keeping people and goods moving to keep the economic engine turning. But now, given the rapid scale of urbanization and challenges of Climate Change, the industry’s role goes beyond that. How do we reduce congestion, keep costs in check, address rising emissions and cater to the ever-increasing demand for mobility to people and goods? A worthy question that several talented minds around the world are currently working on while unlocking a multi-billion dollar opportunity. Product: The eVTOL quadcopter Finova’s primary product invention is precisely addressing the core of this problem - An eVTOL quadcopter that is capable of surface and air transport without the need for any specific landing infrastructure. The platform and design are perfectly scalable between payloads of 3 to 500 kgs – catering to both local deliveries of small packages as well as passenger transportation. Where we are right now? We have developed and tested a prototype of the wheel with and without the propeller and an initial model of the eVTOL quadcopter that has delivered very good results. The initial prototype is mainly the feasibility of the design and concept from an engineering and performance point of view and we believe, we have made good progress. Where are we headed? Our long-term vision is to be an organization focused on providing affordable autonomous eVTOLs that can be economically and safely serve the urban population. A subsidiary will be set up to evaluate and provide Mobility as a Service primarily to other businesses. What are the immediate next steps and what do we need? As a next step, we need to progress on developing the prototype into a full-scale delivery eVTOL quadcopter equipped with the necessary sensors and avionics, optimize the performance of the quadcopter and proceed to apply for the necessary licenses. We estimate that the investment outlay for the initial product that will fulfil the licensing conditions for a fully functional delivery eVTOL quadcopter to be around € 3 Million.
