In their own words
We are using PP granules to make woven sack bags used for cement packaging and other food products such as flour, wheat etc. We have also installed a machine which is used to recycle waste plastic and convert them into granules and then those are used for making the bags. Therefore, we use almost 50% new granules and 50% of plastic waste (consisting of old cement bags which are collected from construction sites and other packaging industries). The bags produced are also 100% recyclable. Initially we are planning for a 150 MT production within three months from starting the unit and at max production stage we will be hiring an approximate of 70 workers and approximately 20 administrative staff to run the unit. In due course of time, we have a plan to make FICB bags which a highly skilled process and will require a min workforce of 300 labours and 50 administrative staff per shift. We are expecting a profit of Rs. 1.00 Crore in the first year of production if we have enough sales to reach full capacity production and then in due course of time it is expected to increase as we increase the machinery in the coming years.
