The pollution of urban water bodies, water loss in distribution and the overuse of water in agriculture are some of the problems the company is focussed on addressing through the use of robotics and artificial intelligence. In urban India a majority of pipelines have outlived their expected lifespan, and contribute to significant water loss, contamination and clogging because of a lack of data about this infrastructure. Similarly a lack of data about crops results in the overuse of water in agriculture, presenting significant challenges in drought prone areas.The company’s multi-robot system has been used to map and assess the health of old and deteriorating water, sewage and storm-drain pipelines. This allows Municipal Corporations to rehabilitate critical infrastructure, before catastrophic damages. Fluid’s advanced crop mapping software, is being used for mapping villages for the Maharashtra State Irrigation Department. Along with correcting historical data this has also helped provide insights into the water requirements of individual farmers as well as entire villages. Cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and over a hundred villages in Maharashtra are already benefiting from this data driven approach.
