FSRD Fuels Private Limited is a Manipur-based clean energy startup with a mission to lead the transition toward sustainable fuel alternatives in Northeast India. Currently in the ideation stage, our focus lies in the production of biodiesel —a renewable biofuel derived from locally available agricultural residues such as rice, maize, sugarcane bagasse, tea leaves, and jowar. With the Indian government's push for 20% Biodiesel blending in petrol, the demand for Biodiesel is rising rapidly, creating a promising opportunity for regional manufacturing and distribution. Our business model integrates biodiesel production with the establishment of biodiesel fuel stations that also offer door-to-door fuel delivery, especially to remote and underserved areas. Looking ahead, we aim to expand our energy offering by installing EV charging points at our pumps and across key public locations in Manipur and other places in India states. This hybrid approach addresses current biofuel needs while positioning us for the growing electric mobility sector. What makes our model scalable is its strong foundation in local resources, decentralized operations, and technology-enabled logistics. Manipur and the surrounding region provide ample agricultural waste for biodiesel production, and our modular, low-cost infrastructure allows us to expand efficiently across rural geographies. By combining fuel accessibility with clean energy infrastructure, we’re building a resilient model that can grow with the evolving energy landscape. India is at a critical point in its clean energy journey, and FSRD is strategically positioned to contribute to national goals while driving local development.
