Our state lacks in many areas like non availability of important ores, minerals, cultiviable lands etc but Manipur is one of the top Sports house and bless with beautiful scenic beauty. It's already an established fact that tourism is going to be the main driving force of our State. We didn't lack any human resources either but the only problem is the huge mismatch between job creation and job seekers and tilting more on job seekers. And here adventure tourism can play a huge roles as numerous studies shows that if there will be more development in basic infrastructure and ease of availability of Adventures in India, it will attract and restore businesses, will generate new jobs and can raise more revenue to contribute in the GDP of the Country. Adventure tourism is growing exponentially in India over the past few years with local and foreign tourists visiting destinations previously undiscovered. This allows for new & unpopular destinations in different states of India to market themselves as truly unique, appealing to those travelers looking for rare, incomparable adventure experiences. Tourism is one of the most rapidly growing sector in the world, and adventure tourism is one of its fastest growing categories, growing faster than other significant sectors such as financial and business services, transport and manufacturing. Increasingly, countries in all stages of economic development are prioritizing adventure tourism for market growth, because they recognize it’s ecological, cultural, and economic value and so as a diverse country and fastest growing economy, India should pay more attention in growth of Adventure sector as well. "According to industry expert and as well as the Associations of Adventure Tourism, the Adventure industry is expected to grow 400% in the coming days." There are many important key points to explain why & how Adventure industry as major category of tourism can play vital role in growth of Indian economy below are few key points to highlight. -A major area for recreational activities -Adventure tourism is resilient -Attracts high value customers -Support local economies -Encourages sustainable practices With the Avent of Act of East Policy, which brings huge opportunity to India especially Manipur which will become the gateway to south-east Asia, there would be influxes of foreign tourists in the state and we will tape this huge potential. The key drivers for adventure tourism are entertainment option (55%), corporate/organisational recreational activities (30%), variety of quality foods and drinks (15%), etc. And, adventure tourism overs more by offering fun activities for the entire family, thrill and excitement and engagement activities for kids .Adventure tourism is major category in travel & tourism industry. There are numerous studies and reports on the economic benefits of Adventure tourism and every study shows that if there will be more development in basic infrastructure and ease of availability of Adventures in India, it will attract and restore businesses, will generate new jobs and can raise more revenue to contribute in the GDP and recent statistics proves this in last few years. “With rising levels of disposable income, many emerging economies have shown fast growth over recent years, especially in markets in Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, and the Middle East & Africa.” As per the Indian government report, travel and tourism is the largest service industry in India. It is expected that the tourism sector contribution to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) will grow at the rate of 7.0% yearly in the period 2013-2024 and this number can be increased if the Adventure travel improved significantly because it will going to be major factor to increase the Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTA) resulting in growth of overall economy. Lastly through adventure tourism we would like to develop an ecosystem where we can appreciate our nature and work alongside it in our development as a whole in a eco-friendly environment. One of our aim is to bring around our strong but misguided, lost youth towards making our Manipur a Great State
