Furnace Energy Private Limited is a company set up in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and is coming up with a Biodiesel manufacturing plant in the area. The production capacity aimed is for 60 MT of B100, Indian Standardised Pure Biodiesel. The company seeks to get into other biofuel productions in the future. The Government of India has already approved the National Policy on Biofuels-2018 in June 2018. The policy has the objective of reaching 20% ethanol-blending and 5% biodiesel-blending by the year 2030. The government targets to save more than Rs. 20,000 Cr. in foreign exchange by biofuel blending.
