During last few years, demand for the high end imported bicycle of various kinds has seen a healthy growth. The Indian bicycle brands such as Hero, Hercules etc. recently started manufacturing the high-end bicycle but they have failed to match the manufacturing quality of product with respect to their foreign counterparts. Due to this there is a huge gap between market demand and domestic supply, which is getting filled up by the foreign brands. With more than 20 foreign brands who dominate the premium bicycle market since 2005. Indian premium cycle market is growing with steady pace of more than 15% every year. With total sales of bicycles from range INR 25,000 to 4,00,000 is INR 350 Cr. We at GD Bikes private limited wanted to grab this opportunity, by introducing our brand in this well established and ever-growing market. We are engineering and research-based organization from the day of our inception. We have done detailed market research of this high-end bicycle market and we have found that the foreign bicycles which are currently sold in the market are not specifically designed by keeping Indian customer’s physic at the centre. Extended use of such product causes them body and muscle pain, so the customer who was paying a high price to buy a good bicycle would end up with a product which is not suitable for them. Hence there is huge growing demand by all such customers for good ergonomically design bicycles for Indian physic, which are as well engineered as any other foreign brand. After 2 years of Research & Development, we launched our first high-end bicycle brand “Convolution” in 2018 having one of the lightest production frames in Aluminium alloy made in India. We have registered trademarks for our first product Aspera, which got highest ratings in endurance bike category in India, by retailers and independent reviewers.
