Gelnova Hygiene is a manufacturing company with its own brand, focused on laundry pods and homecare products, offers OEM for private labels, and export markets with scalable hygiene solutions. The company is manufacturing Home Care products like Detergents and Dishwashers and will manufacture Personal Care products like Shampoo and Bath Gels in a single dosage pouch (POD) made out of thermoform biodegradable and water soluble single use pouch. The manufacturing activity involves preparing the liquid, filling the same in PODS and packing the final product in finished ready to sell containers. The film used for this packing activity is sensitive to moisture and temperature and is very thin which makes it very difficult to handle. The forming of PODS / pouches has to be done in an air-conditioned and humidity controlled environment. This technology can replace environmentally harmful plastics and reduce transportation cost as there is no water involved in making the final product, as usually the water content of most detergents, shampoo, gels etc. is around 70% - 80%. As of today the detergent PODS are imported from China and Japan and repacked in smaller units.
