Floo is an India-focused social travel platform designed for the person who is traveling solo, whether by choice or by chance. The company exists to solve one of the most common yet underserved realities of Indian travel: people frequently end up traveling alone, not because they prefer solo trips as a lifestyle, but because plans get cancelled, dates don’t match, friends back out, or they simply don’t find company. This leads to uncertainty, hesitation, and reduced exploration.Floo transforms that experience by helping users discover others traveling to the same destination, at the same time, ensuring that traveling solo doesn’t feel isolating. Instead, it becomes more connected, safer, and more meaningful. The platform focuses on trust, safety, and contextual matching, not social media clout or dating intent.At its core, Floo uses a simple and intuitive user flow: mobile number OTP login, essential profile setup, government ID verification (optional now, mandatory later), adding travel plans, matching with relevant co-travelers, and secure in-app text chat. A key part of the experience is the India-specific destination heatmap, showcasing high-intent travel movement across the country.The company operates on a freemium model, starting with the Flooter subscription tier and expanding as the user base grows. Floo is built with a strong technical foundation using React Native for the app and Python (Django + FastAPI) for backend services—optimised for scale, security, and low-latency matching.Backed by founders with experience in SaaS, product strategy, and real-world travel pain points, Floo aims to become India’s most trusted platform for connecting solo travelers before they even pack.
