Gollaa is an online platform where farmers and local businesses residing in the proximity of a village/city/town in a state or a region can list and sell their quality products directly to the end consumers and retailers. This marketplace will provide a wide range of choices to consumers for local and seasonal products from various farmers as well as host urbanites in their farms. Hence, eliminating middlemen and the need for cold storages which often leads to black-marketing of the products. Presently, there is an information gap i.e. the source of origin, farmer and quality of the produce. Gollaa is re-imagining ways in which farmers can diversify their income, have a social connect with the consumers and create a community around them through trust and reliability. Gollaa is a blockchain backed marketplace for local producers and consumers to interact and participate in local economy; furthermore, this technology will not only help consumers to track quality, origin and nature of their products, as well as, it will help farmers and local businesses to directly interact with their consumers anticipate their needs and requirements.
