We run a small business of our own, which we recently relaunched as a Social Enterprise. While we have a long way to go in establishing ourselves as a Social Enterprise, we take this opportunity to briefly share our offerings to adding value and impacting lives positively. Having worked in the recruitment space for the last 17+ yrs and taking pride in this noble profession of helping people become self-reliant, we started deliberating on how we can add value to our work and help every individual become ‘earning capable’ and lead a dignified life - regardless of one’s qualification, age, gender, or location. Accordingly, we started using our experience and expertise to: Help women make a comeback to the workforce, who often become unavailable in the ‘job market’ after marriage or childbirth – For this, we built home-based teams of educated women on a BT(M)T (Build, Train (Manage), and Transfer) model. We trained more than 1000 women since 2006, out of which close 150 women felt positively impacted with professional, personal, and economic growth. Some of these women were differently-abled, single parent, and some were struggling women with husbands without jobs. This home-based team building endeavor helped women learn and earn without having to neglect their families; and it helped our clients have resources identified at zero infrastructure cost. Develop a robust online training platform for all kinds of skill development and enhancement – For this, we used the popular open source LMS (Learning Management System) called MOODLE (modular object-oriented dynamic learning environment) and customized it to offer it as a solution to small and medium businesses, educational institutions, and even individuals to help them have any kind of skills/training imparted. This online training platform is so robust that it can offer language-based audio/video training to accommodate even the less educated professionals enhance their skills with mobile version of the training enabled on any smart phone. This online training platform is currently accessible through an App for Android devices (Available on Google Play store) and may be made available on iOS devices as well. Develop a Mobile Directory App to help self-employed Service Providers promote their services locally within a radius of 3-5kms from their location of operation – For this, we register Service Providers from a segment of South Delhi area as Pilot to test and check its response. If the pilot becomes a success, we plan to take it to the entire Delhi/NCR and then PAN India. Develop a Job Portal to help seekers find their dream jobs with our end-to-end recruitment coordination – For this, we developed an ATS (Application Tracking System) again built on an open source platform to equally serve our job seekers and our clients for their specific needs/requirements. We have invested close to two years in developing this training platform and the mobile app with a humble hope to add value to our work and impact Indian people in some meaningful way. We now intend to dynamically combine our years of recruitment experience with these two products (training platform & mobile app) and present our offerings to one and all who sees any merit in it.
