SENIOR TOURISM The Senior Tourism / Golden Age Tour focuses on people of age group 60 and above (mostly retired persons who have got immense disposable money and time to spend) Age is not at all a factor that hurdles an opportunity to see or experience the world. Instead, the drive to see the precious things the world has to offer grows along with us as we age. At present, they find it very difficult to find “Specialized Tour Operators” whom they can trust in terms of specially designed tours exclusively for them. Absolute care and attention needed while planning and designing Tour Packages for Senior citizen. We need to consider their health, Suitable Accommodation, Food, comfortable transportation and activities which will keep them excited and entertained. With our Tailor-made Tour packages, we will ensure that they will enjoy, experience and explore whatever they have dreamed. This will be planned in such a way that their specific health issues are addressed during the entire program (Medical assistance, wheel chair assistance, butler service and all possible geriatric care). The homely, clean, hygienic accommodation in a serene atmosphere will be ensured with proper healthy and checked diet. A 24/7 Travel assistance of an experienced, friendly and attentive guide will be provided. After getting inputs on their interests, we can suggest destinations and activities (Preferred books for reading, campfire, beach activities, water sports, soft trekking etc.) All activities will be carried out in a low pace which will allow them to thoroughly enjoy by taking their time. We intend to provide an informative and cultural touch along with homely and friendly feel to make the journey exciting to the senior citizens as they have more experience of the world and knowing new things will ignite their enthusiasm. Knowing the history and peculiarity of a place and the life of the people, experiencing their culture by seeing a day in the life of a person from an entirely different culture, or enjoying the native craft making process of a place and interacting to a wide variety of people from different walks of life will all make our tour special and unique. Beyond the pandemic, the senior tourism segment (ages 60+) has a huge impact on the travel industry. In 1999, over 593 million international travelers were 60 years and older, which accounted for around 1/3 of holiday spending. And this number is projected to reach 2 billion trips annually by 2050 — according to the World Tourism Organization. That’s because it’s estimated seniors will comprise nearly a quarter of the world’s population by 2050, compared to only 10% in 2000. Meaning that they will be responsible for more holidays spending in the future than all of the younger age groups combined. So as the ageing population grows and becomes the most important tourist group due to their purchasing power and trip frequency, the Senior Tourism program is a prospective sustaining revenue generating source.
