Hardy Opto-Digital is a research and innovation oriented company that manufactures and provide Photonic Structures based tactical devices and solutions. Photonic Structures are micro and nano scale structures that harness light and have exceptional ability to store, process and couple light fields with its whole information content. Photonics Structures based devices and solution are going to play a massive role in tactical application. Our initial action areas include smart aiming, remote detection, authentication and tracking, intelligent precision NDT, vibration mapping and monitoring, ultra real imaging etc. Manufacturing Plan The Company kick-started its activities as a Startup incubated by the IIT Kanpur and aims to set up its manufacturing facility in the Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor, after getting graduated. As the first-generation product, we would like to manufacture Holographic Weapon Sights, by applying our technology that won the India Innovation Gold Medal, instituted by the Department of Science and Technology – Govt. of India, Lockheed Martin USA, Indo US S&T Forum, University of Texas at Austin and the FICCI. The Company bagged the Best Product Award in the recent ASEAN India Start-up Festival, held in New Delhi. Along with this core product, the company plans to promote a few of its other Photonic Structures based unique products that have applications in the Defence and Aerospace sectors, for example, Digital Holographic precision NDT Systems, Photonic Structures based remote secure authentication system etc. R&D and Innovation Plans Photonics Structures are fast evolving in its functionality and applicability. To stay in tune with the global market requirements and achieve an edge over our competitors, we have a set of R&D programs. These include remote soldier detection, high efficiency diffractive solar modules, smart long-range aiming devices, smart micro-metallic opto-digital devices and materials with unique functionalities.
