The proposed project is a Waste to Energy (WtE) facility, with a capacity of 300 Tonnes per Day, to be set up at Kaithal, Haryana. The project would make use of organic raw material such as cow dung, fruit and vegetable waste, and sugar press mud, to produce compressed biogas (CBG), which has a methane content in excess of 95%. The land for the plant has been acquired on lease for 35 years. Raw material contracts have been put in place with local Gaushalas and a Letter of Intent has been awarded by Indian Oil Corportation Limited (IOCL) for uptake of the CBG produced under the Government of India's SATAT Scheme.
