HomeCru is a tech-enabled marketplace that connects customers with independent, verified labour and service professionals for construction and home-improvement work — currently mason(mistri), majdoor(helpers) and other construction labou, with a roadmap into broader construction categories. Innovation / improvement of process and service. India's home-improvement and small-construction services are overwhelmingly delivered through an unorganised, trust-deficient network of contractors and daily-wage labour. Customers face opaque pricing, unverified workmanship, no accountability for delays or defects, and no recourse on disputes. HomeCru's innovation is not a new physical product but a structured process layer over a fragmented, offline market: standardised scoping and quoting, professional verification and skill-grading, transparent pricing, scheduled service delivery, and a platform-managed dispute and quality-assurance mechanism. This converts an informal, one-off, word-of-mouth transaction into a repeatable, accountable, trackable service — improving the process of how home services are discovered, priced, delivered, and guaranteed. Technology and process improvements include (confirm/edit to match what you've actually built): a customer app for transparent booking and pricing; a professional/vendor app for job allocation, scheduling, and payouts; a matching layer that routes jobs to verified professionals by skill, location, and availability; and an admin and quality-control dashboard for verification, dispute resolution, and service-consistency tracking.Scalability. The model is asset-light. HomeCru does not employ labour on its payroll or hold construction inventory; it aggregates independent professionals and earns on platform/service margins. This allows category expansion (civil → interiors → construction) and city-by-city geographic expansion without proportional capital intensity.
