Our business idea is an IoT hardware wearable device for the cattle along with a web/mobile app connected via the cloud which provides the farmer notification/SMS about optimal insemination timing and calving cycle alerts. This collar tag solution is flexible in terms of no. of cattle it can manage, the geographical coverage as well as providing actionable information on individual animals in addition to heat events. Scalability - India has 30 Crores of bovine population out of which 7.7 crores are the active population (milking animals). There are no Indigenous solutions to this particular problem. Assuming to sell 10 lakh devices in one year, we're tapping only 20% of the active population. Also, there is no such solution for buffaloes (silent breeders), which contributes 35% to the total bovine population. Impact on society in employment generation With technology being used in dairy farming youth will also adapt it as a part-time or full-time business. 70% of the population in India lives in rural areas, most of which is dependent on dairy or agriculture for its survival. Dairy provides livelihood to 60 million households in India and is growing at the rate of 9.59% /year. Innovation - We cannot disclose the information regarding the innovation in our product as for novelty reasons of the patent.
