Why we need this? Problem statement: • There is limited scope for planting more tree inside forest area to meet the environmental balance and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) so we need to plant mote tree outside forest area. • The survival of saplings is low due to continue depletion of soil and moisture, so we need to work on conservation activities. • There is nutritional issue is society due to high intake of carbohydrates (wheat / rice) eating habit and as result malnutrition. Tree based products are high in nutrients and we need to included them in regular diet plan. • In current practices tree plantation outside forest is limited to high value timber plantation and fruit plantation which some time need more water -resulting decreasing Ground Water. • The complete land development and plantation related services is commonly not available at one sources / service provider and one have to get it through different vendor. • As the service providers are scatted the cost of complete services is also high and not manageable without grant or government funding. • In most case land development and plantation related intervention are dependent on government support / funding and limited to certain influential household/ community.
