IndianShelf is a technology-enabled e-commerce platform dedicated to promoting and preserving India's rich traditional handicrafts by connecting over 5,000 craft-based rural artisans and producers directly to modern urban consumers across India and globally. The platform curates and retails a diverse range of handcrafted home décor products — including ceramic knobs and handles, brass and bronze sculptures, hand-painted wall art (Pichwai, Tanjore, Krishangarh, Miniature), wooden printing blocks, hooks and hangers, vintage silverware, kitchenware, vases, lamps, and statement pieces — all made using traditional techniques, skills, and hand-based processes passed down through generations. IndianShelf's core mission is threefold: to create sustainable livelihoods for skilled rural craftsmen, to make authentic Indian handicrafts accessible and affordable to contemporary buyers, and to preserve India's intangible cultural heritage through commerce. By eliminating middlemen and enabling craftsmen to engage directly with buyers, IndianShelf ensures fair economic participation for artisans while offering consumers genuine, green, and ethically sourced products. The startup promotes environmentally conscious consumption by championing natural, craft-based, and sustainable products made from materials such as brass, bronze, copper, ceramic, wood, and stone.
