INNOQUIP INSTRUMENTS Background of the Start-up: As our company title suggests INNOQUIP INSTRUMENTS i.e. innovate equipment we are aiming to create a variety of projects of different ideas to contribute to society a part of our education. Currently, we have a product just like that an innovative idea to help people to ease up their day to day lives with the chronic pain diseases they go through bone brittleness. Ageing is the factor which we cannot help or stop and it comes with a cost. All our lives using our body efficiently we do not think about the repercussions of wearing and tearing of the bones. With time bones get ruptured and there is the deficiency of calcium and vitamin d. nowadays due to lack of healthy diets, kids and adults both are facing this problem. We thought of getting a solution to this problem and brought up a product which helps this. In Ayurveda, there are some procedures for musculo-skeletal disorders i.e. Manyabasti, Prushthabasti and Katibasti all for spine disorders, Janubasti for knee arthritis, Ansabasti for frozen shoulder. In the current period, the number of patients of these diseases is increasing and the demand for these procedures is on high in regards to its preventive as well as curative aspect. Musculoskeletal disorders are specially related to muscles, bones, joints and associated tissues such as tendons and ligaments. Musculoskeletal conditions are typically characterised by pain (often persistent) and limitations in mobility and functional ability, reducing people’s ability to work and participate in social roles with associated impacts on mental wellbeing, and at a broader level impacts on the prosperity of communities. The most common and disabling musculo skeletal conditions are Knee osteoarthritis, Spine disorders and frozen shoulder. The traditional method of procedure –A compartment is made over the affected area using the dough made from wet flour of black gram. Then the medicated oil (of specific temp.) is poured & the oil is changed every 3 to 5 minutes. This procedure is performed for 20 – 30 minutes. As a whole procedure is manual, one person is engaged during the complete procedure. The traditional method is completely manual and there are following Lacunae in the traditional method. 1. The constant temperature of medicated oil is difficult to maintain. 2. It requires continuous manpower 3. There are chances of leakage of oil from the compartment 4. With the pouring of oil, local gentle massage is not possible due to risk of leakage 5. Expected time duration is not followed due to the manual procedure. Hence it is needed to make it automatic to overcome the above problems and to get the expected result. Our product gives the acceptable level of vibrations to the knees, ankles and spine which solves the major rupturing of the bones which can save up to the cost of taking 3-5 tablets per day for a year or two which can prevent degeneration of bones. The severity of this deficiency may lead to the disease called osteoporosis or osteoarthritis and in children we call it rickets. Our product ensures the optimum temperature of the medicated oil in the complete procedure. It also ensures the time track diagnosed for the procedure. Gives a gentle massage on the affected area. And puts up the right amount of oil to that area through a Dhara device. Once we are done with the designing of this device we will head towards production followed by marketing. Our target audience would be medical and Ayurveda colleges, hospitals, physiotherapy centres we are open to everybody and not just restricted to our target audience. Our research told us that our target audience requires this device a lot and they would be useful to them because through them it will reach the common people as fast as it can. Sustainable development is our motto and need of time hence we will ensure the recycling of e-waste and our product is environmentally friendly as there are no chemicals used. We tried to make it cost-efficient as well so that the services can be availed by all segments of society. Objective of Start-up: The main objectives of the Startup are: 1. To develop an instrument for pouring a requisite quantity of medicated oil on targeted areas of the body like knee, spine or shoulder as prescribed by the ayurvedic practitioners. 2. To check and maintain the desired temperature and time of medicated oil or decoction throughout the procedure. 3. To effectively implement the desired procedure by reducing manpower as prescribed for musculo-skeletal disorders i.e. Manyabasti, Prushthabasti and Katibasti all for spine disorders, Janubasti for knee arthritis, Ansabasti for frozen shoulder. 4. To develop facilities in the instrument for providing massage as per requirement through vibrational effect for improving the affected area. 5. To improve the performance of developing instrument through the guidance of ayurvedic practitioners. Outputs:
