The like minded people of the Kashmir meet at the Electric M&RE Sub-Division Anantnag Jammu & Kashmir India, in the December 2000 and by the passing a resolution to establish a not for profit making organization to work for up-lift-ment of technical hands and engineering community by providing knowledge to the next generation and professional development for the students communities. The Institution of Technicians & Engineers [Kashmir] has a goal to make technical persons professionally skilled. In order to provide technocrats the facilities of up grading of knowledge, guide line for further education & training, guide line for establishing of Industries and aware the general public in the matters relating to technology, public safety, i.e. safety for human- lives/property in use of electricity, and work for the socio-economic development of Jammu & Kashmir especially Kashmir division. The organization got reputation in the welfare of employees of government of Jammu & Kashmir Power Development Departm ent’s Employees, who get electric shock during the duties, by providing the first aid management in the treatment of the incumbents.
