Jagannath Wafers was incorporated on 27th March 2025 as an early-stage food startup focused on bringing better-quality banana chips to the Gujarat market. From 28th October, the company has lauched products that started generating revenue and gained early acceptance through general trade channels across Gujarat (primary focus market) and own website. During product research, it was observed that among the many varieties of bananas grown in India, Nendran banana stands out due to its low oil absorption, high fiber content, and superior taste. While Nendran bananas are mainly cultivated in southern India, transporting raw bananas to Gujarat affects quality due to ripening during transit. To overcome this challenge and keep capital requirements low at an early stage, Jagannath Wafers partnered with an established manufacturer and implemented its own standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality. The brand offers hygienically produced Nendran banana chips, a category that is largely absent in Gujarat, where consumers are used to loose, oil-heavy, and unhygienic alternatives. Jagannath Wafers provides a trusted branded option that contains no palm oil, no added sugar, no artificial ingredients, and is produced through a no-hand-touch process. With positive customer feedback and no negative reviews so far, the startup has identified a strong product–market fit and plans to scale responsibly while creating employment opportunities in the future.
