FLY ASH: THE MODERN POZOLAN More than half of the energy we use in India today comes from power plants that run on coal. But in addition to making electricity, in the process of generating electricity thermal plants burnt coal & coal waste called Fly Ash, in this Fly Ash has more than 60 % cementitious content so it's used for Partial Cement Replacement these plants also make a material that is quickly becoming an important part of making a wide range of concrete goods work better. This stuff is called Fly ash which we are dealing in. Fly ash is made up of minerals in coal that can't be burned. Before coal can be burned in a power plant, it has to be ground into a fine powder. When the carbon is blown into the boiler of the power plant, it is burned, leaving behind molten bits that are high in silica, alumina, and calcium. Before these tiny glassy spheres can "fly" away, they are gathered from the exhaust of the power plant. This is how the product got its name, Fly Ash.
