• India is spending more than USD 1 Trillion on infrastructure. • As a result, demand for Heavy Construction machines are growing at around 15% y-o-y. • Infrastructure companies prefer asset light model by taking machines on lease. • Indian machine leasing market is highly fragmented with innumerable small players. • By some estimates, organised leasing of construction machines in India is less than 3%. In other words, 97% market is services by (Individual) agents who manipulate the market and inefficient in terms of cost of transaction. Jizen Tech Private Limited has developed an online platform MOR247 and presently testing it. It is expected to launch in October 2019. It wants to bring machine owners and prospective hirers on the platform. Further, these machines are very heavy and hence their transportation is expensive, time consuming and pollution. With the GPS device, the platform helps hirer to find the nearest machine. It will reduce transportation cost for hirer and time saved will improve utilization for machine owner. The platform has other features like live monitoring, remotely access the machine, avoid malpractices and fuel theft, etc. We started working on the plan in January 2018 and conducted in-depth interview, group discussion with various stakeholders in the industry to validate the idea.
