Kalprah Innovations Pvt Ltd Executive Summary Kalprah Innovations Private Ltd. is a value-based purpose driven organization working on making coconut based healthy as well as non-food-based products for people and giving back to a healthier planet with zero-waste generation. The fundamentals of the concept originated from our Indian ancient proficiency in knowing Coconut as Kalpavriksha-The Tree of Life! The venture focuses on developing a sustainable resourceful ecosystem to practice circular economy principles and contribute to individual, social and environmental wellbeing. We aim to enable people to practice and relish the sustainable lifestyle with Kalpavriksh360’s coconut based healthy food products and value added, eco-friendly non-food utility/wellness products. With this we want to grow a conscious, sustainable value chain for thoughtful, more beneficial, and complete utilization of coconut. Farmers use every part of Coconut Tree in their farms and avoid waste. Farmers many a times follow the path of circular economy at grass hood level with available resources in frugal manner. Securing the portion of household requirement, selling coconuts to vendors, utilizing remaining agricultural waste to convert it into composting and/or burning as fuel play role in responsible consumption and utilization with zero/minimal waste. When it comes to metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, etc and urban communities; completing the path of circular economy is huge challenge. Consumption is personal choice but problem arise when remains after consumption i.e. non-food part (Shells and husks) goes directly in dustbin and then get lost in the array of transport and dumping areas without getting upcycled or processed. Key problems identified by Kalprah Innovations are: a. Underutilization of potential benefits of Coconut for wellness due to unawareness (even farmers when utilize the remains for burning, after using copra and water, it is a low-level consumption of the valuable raw material). b. Wastage and pollution of potentially useful part of coconut due to incomplete utilization in different forms. c. Under exploration of coconut with respect to health benefits and healthy product opportunities. This venture aims to establish a resourceful sustainable working model to minimize the logistics challenge of re-processing, upcycling and value addition for developing Best out of Waste. Inviting readers to add thoughts on ZERO WASTE! (Focusing on - UN-SDG 11- sustainable cities & Communities and UN- SDG 12- responsible consumption). The overall effort is aimed at following solutions: Exploring diversified applications of coconut as healthy and planet friendly options, absolute utilization of Coconut with zero waste generation, provide natural, safer and plastic free solutions for wellness products. The key differentiators are: 1. Focusing on Array of Healthy Food Products and complete utilization of each part of the coconut. 2. Focusing on Waste to Best in a systematic manner to produce different products and reduce and repair damages made to the environment.
