Karekeba Ventures ( Kare-ke-ba: 'we must', in Bhojpuri) started as Bihar's only incubator-cum-angel investment platform in October 2020, for home-grown startups in Bihar and other under-served geographies of India which grossly lack an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our co-founders have impeccable academic and professional accomplishments in their respective careers and they have been brought together by a common passion of being the change-makers for Bihar and Bharat. Anubha Prasad, our founder & CEO has more than 23 years of experience in SIDBI with MSME and startup financing and a couple of years with UNEP on sustainable finance, Divyanshu Verma, our co-founder who contributes as our CTO is an innovation leader with IITD and IIMB background, and ex-Intel, ex-Dell, ex-Ericsson credentials and 2 US patents to his name. Kshitiz Anand, another co-founder, is a design leader from IIT Guwahati and Indiana Univ, and an AVP-Paytm, Wipro Seeding Fellow, TFIx Fellow, and IITG/Indiana Univ Alumni Excellence award winner. Avantika Sahay, Operations Head was a Senior Director at T-Hub, Hyderabad & Shakir Jamil, our Operations Manager is an NIT grad with hands-on founders experience of 2 years. We have successfully closed our first deal for seed investment in a Healthcare Startup in March 2021. We have 6 startups onboarded with us as of now (curated from 50+ inquiries), 125+ investor registered, 30+ startups in the pipeline (being mentored) & partnerships with several accredited VCs and angel networks/ platforms. Recently, we have collaborated with IIT Patna's Entrepreneurship Cell as its knowledge partner and have presented the entrepreneurial case of 'Bharat' at several national and international platforms.
