Oye! Rickshaw, founded in 2017 by Mohit Sharma and Akashdeep Singh, is an app-based platform for first and last-mile connectivity. Oye! Rickshaw, as the name suggests, aims to solve the commute woes of the common man through an affordable, reliable, seamless, and environment-friendly route of e-rickshaws. The company today has over 5350 e-rickshaws in Delhi NCR and now parts of Haryana and has completed over 5.2 million trips, making it the largest e-Rickshaw aggregator in India. Due to its supplementing nature of service, it has helped in giving more people access to public transport like the metro and thus helped in reducing the number of vehicles on Delhi roads. Oye! technology stack is enabling an EV ecosystem created around its Driver Partners by integrating vehicle/accessory sellers, charging/swapping providers, and public transportation/demand hubs on one platform. The company, after having bootstrapped $ 12 million through 2018. Today the company has 230 employees and provides multiple revenue opportunities to its e-rickshaw driver-partners. Oye! Rickshaw aims to expand its service to other parts of northern India and key cities in other regions.
