In their own words
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy., yet it's the most undeveloped sector in India. Farmers who grow food for us, do not have enough to feed their families. The person who provides us the basic necessity to live, takes his own life in the end! Ironically, majority of the problems that the farmers face have an existing solution, but they do not reach the farmer. The biggest problem is ensuring those solutions reach all the farmers in a scalable manner. Directly going to the farmer is costly and unfruitful as they are not willing to change. Basic ingredients needed for a successful model in agriculture involve physical presence with constant touch, influential channel partner who the farmer can listen to and finally a sustainable business model. Scaling all three is very difficult together. At KisanX, we are creating centers of innovation in every village by tying up with agricultural input retailers and other micro-entrepreneurs in the village. These centers in turn will provide innovative services to the farmers which are offered by other startups and companies. Essentially, KisanX is building an omni-channel network which will increase the penetration of innovation in agriculture and help every stakeholder!
