Skorkel is a one-stop application for the 500,000 strong law student community across India's 1000+ law colleges, with three main verticals - educational resources, social networking within the legal fraternity, career oppurtunities and placements. At the core, we have an algorithmic score for each user ("Skorkel Score") which converts CVs into a single, percentile based, objective score, vetted by a panel of some of the foremost names of the Indian legal fraternity (Judges, Law Firm Partners, Senior Advocates). Our feature-set includes: (1) Database of 10 Lakh court judgments from the various judicial and quasi-judicial bodies of India, updated every month (2) Crowdsourced knowledge sharing & dissemination in the form of blogs, journals, question-answer section (3) Public & Private document vaults - to save one's work in PDF/DOC/EXCEL format and access it from anywhere on any device (4) Public & Private Groups with options to post & share content through walls, private messaging, create events & polls (5) A pipeline of 1000+ jobs and internships across India's biggest law firms, advocates, MNCs, and development organisations (6) Legal news & developments . Even though the current version of the app is only for law students - we are looking to expand, before the end of 2020, the concept to other industries as well, such as engineering, medical sciences, commerce, and architecture. What we are providing, at the very core, is something very unique in the Indian landscape - are profession/industry specific services for college students in a single app - learning, connecting, and proffessional acceleration. Everything which a college student needs is being packaged into one single app. The basic concept is universal in its appeal & value, and immensely scalable.
