DSM is basically a mechanism required to improve grid efficiency, grid discipline, accountability and responsibility by imposing charges on those entities which deviates from their scheduled power injection and drawl. We have come across a solution necessary to resolve the above problem by developing comprehensive steps based on Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) DSM Regulations. It helps the power Distributing/Generating companies in Load Balancing, Managing Power Schedules and avoids Grid Penalties by effectively balancing the real-time power injection/drawl and grid frequency. The software calculates the real time deviation charges on the basis of actual energy and frequency data from ABT (Availability based Tariff) Energy Meters and the Power Schedule from Generating and Distributing Companies.
