Project Approach KPC utilizes a formal project management methodology called KPC Project Portfolio Management. We feel our methodology delivers a competitive advantage to our customers by insuring a repeatable proven process for successful business intelligence and performance management solutions delivery. With that said, many of our customers are still required to adhere to their own internal project management methodologies. If this is your situation, worry not, KPC is accustomed to tailoring its approach to meet each customer's specific needs. Our methodology is flexible enough that KPC can simply align its process, deliverable and milestones with our customers' own project management methodology. 2. KPC Implementation Methodology When our customers do not require a specific methodology, KPC’s utilizes a formal project management methodology called KPC Implementation Methodology. The methodology leverages a rapid prototype approach with sample input from both the information technology and the business community. This approach insures there are no surprises when the final system is delivered and rolled out to the organization. KPC has learned over the years that different business systems require different project implementation approaches to insure success. We feel our KPC methodology delivers a competitive advantage to our customers by insuring a repeatable proven process for successful business intelligence and performance management solutions delivery. Many of our customers are required to adhere to their own internal project management methodologies. Project Strategy The major phases of the KPC Implementation Methodology are outlined below: This phase identifies the tasks required to develop all planning deliverable. This map to our clients' Project Charter, Scope of Work, Validation Assessment, Validation Plan, Qualification Assessment, Qualification Plan, Project Plan, Risk Assessment Plan/Log, and Selection of Business Intelligence tool(s). 4. Analysis, Design, and Construction This is a set of parallel processes to accomplish the design and development of the actual Business Intelligence and Technical and Technical Infrastructure components. These maps to our clients' User Requirements, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, System Build and Configuration, IQ, Unit Tests, and Trace ability Matrix. 5. Integration Testing This phase identifies the end-to-end testing of the overall Business Intelligence solution. This maps to our clients System Test, Integration Tests and Operational Quality. 6. Production Deployment This phase identifies the pre-roll out testing that occurs on the Production platform. This maps to our clients Production Quality or User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 7. Production Roll out This is the actual effort involved to deliver the BI solution to the end users. This maps to our clients' Technical Knowledge Transfer, End User Training, Transition Plan, Support Plan, and Release to Production.
