Our startup "Ancient Foods" strongly believes in the mantra of "Millets as a preventive medicine" for the existing public health problems like Malnutrition and lifestyle diseases-Obesity, Diabetes, Hypertension and Cardiovascular Diseases. In association with 'ICAR-Indian Institute of Millet Research(Govt of India),' our startup is developing food technologies in unique and niche millet-based "SMART FOODS", "NUTRI-PRODUCTS" and "THERAPY FOODS". Our 'Ready to Cook', 'Ready to Eat' and 'Ready to Drink' products like - 'Nutri Instant Health Mix', 'Natural Nutri Porridge', 'Millet Smoothie Mix', 'Multi Millet Muesli' and 'Multi Millet Cookies' are currently under validation stage and will soon go to patent processing. We directly procure raw materials from farmers through contract farming and intend to double farm incomes by 2022. Apart from 100% ownership by women, we intend to employ more than 50% of women employees, placing women empowerment at the core of our business. Our ultimate goal is to provide nutritious food products that can be afforded by all sections of society and consumed by all age groups. Our vision is to see a "Healthy New India" that is free of malnutrition and lifestyle diseases.
