Lemontails India LLP is an Indian pet nutrition and pet-care company focused on providing affordable, accessible and nutritionally balanced food for dogs, especially stray and community dogs. The company operates under its primary brand Spotty’s Bites and aims to bridge the gap between premium pet food and the real Indian market, where a large portion of dogs are not owned pedigree pets but community-fed or semi-owned animals. India has an estimated 60+ million stray dogs and millions of feeder households. Most existing pet food brands in India are designed and priced for urban pet owners and are inaccessible to feeders, shelters, small kennels and low-budget households. Lemontails was founded specifically to solve this neglected segment. The company manufactures and distributes dog biscuits, dry food and ready-to-eat wet food. The products are designed to: • Be nutritionally adequate • Be affordable for daily feeding • Be storable without refrigeration • Be easily available locally The company operates across four verticals: 1. E-commerce sales (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and direct online) 2. B2B distribution and white labeling for kennels, feeders and resellers 3. Physical pet retail store (Barkshire Pet Food & Accessories) 4. Export of dog food to international developing markets (We are exploring this opportunity, currently in very basic stage) Lemontails combines FMCG style distribution with animal welfare impact. The long-term vision is to build India’s most accessible dog nutrition brand and enable daily feeding of stray dogs without dependence on leftovers or nutritionally poor food.
