In their own words

L’inoui aims to offer Indians the authentic experience of Belgian chocolate. The chocolates are now a favourite among the top food critics in the city, who have given the premium brand glowing reviews. The team at L’inoui Chocolates is confident about the move to open the new store, as India is the fastest growing chocolate market in the world—growing at 13% between 2015 and 2016. At a distant second place is Poland, that is growing at 2%. Sales across the other big markets, like the US, the UK, Germany and France have been flat, while the other BRIC countries (Russia, China and Brazil) have recorded negative growth. According to Euromonitor study of 2016, chocolate confectionery value sales are expected to see a constant value CAGR of 8% over 2016-2021, to reach INR162 billion. Increasing availability in rural India and an expanded offer will contribute to chocolate confectionery growth during the forecast period. While L’inouï profits from the general market size and market growth, it also addresses major industry trends: The trend towards specialty chocolate stores and the trend towards premium chocolates (Euromonitor March 2013). The Indian Chocolate Market: While India saw the entry of international players like Cadbury and Kraft since as early 1947, the unavailability of cold chain distribution networks did not allow for the use of crucial ingredients like cocoa butter—an essential ingredient in chocolate. Local players used substitutes with higher melting points, like vegetable fats, to ensure shelf life of the product in a market that lacks a stable electric grid. About L’inoui: L’inoui is a luxury brand of chocolates, that is headquartered out of Bengaluru. The chocolate in L’inoui chocolates are sourced from Belgium. It is finally converted to various delicacies in India by a team of highly trained professionals. They currently run a café in Hatworks Boulevard, on Cunningham Road, The Leela Palace and The Bangalore Golf Club.

The neighbourhood

This record carries no locality line, so the district is the finest ring we can place it in.

What we do not know

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.

Is this your company?

If something is wrong, the authoritative place to correct it is the Startup India portal itself, and we will pick the correction up on the next monthly snapshot.
