We are proposing manufacturing of composite of ferrocement with Expanded Polypropylene which is widely used as thermal insulation and packing material. EP is one of the cheapest and lightest insulating materials in market. The Government of India has launched very promising scheme “ House for All” and this has opened vast scope for affordable housing. The product “ Ferrocement EP Composite Flush Door” is an innovative product with an ability to replace the wooden/Ply Flush Door can be manufactured at very low scale as well as at large scale with the help of simple machines because of simple process and technology involved. This manufacturing process is labour intensive and can create huge job and opportunity of Semi-skilled and unskilled labourers. This product is eco-friendly and cheaper than even third class wooden and metal doors. Ferrocement Technology is well known for its use in affordable housing. With introduction of Expanded Polypropylene Sheet covered with ferrocement has made it extremely valuable product with better qualities and has removed all deficiencies of ferrocement.
