Lugam Cocoon Private Limited is promoted by Sri Dhirendra Kumar, IFS, (R) to support tasar silk value chain in the country. It has developed the technology to produce high grade reeled and twisted tasar yarn which is used in warp during fabric production. This quality of yarn is better than the imported tasar yarn from China. Lugam Cocoon Private Limited is planning to reduce import of warp quality tasar yarn from China. This will create more livelihood opportunities in tribal areas and at the same time country will save foreign exchange. Our effort is inline with ''Make in India'' policy of government of India.
