This proposed Cold Storage Center, aimed at export to overseas markets, will revitalize maritime sea-route trade through the port system of Odisha. The facility will serve as an integrated agro-based value chain hub, strengthening both domestic and international supply linkages. The project will incorporate comprehensive waste-to-wealth initiatives, including: Conversion of agricultural and vegetable waste into bio-energy and bio-compost. Processing of animal slurry into biogas, bio-energy, and organic compost. Production of innovative, low-cost, high-nutrition cattle feed using locally available resources and by-products. These activities will operate simultaneously to ensure maximum resource efficiency, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. In addition, an Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) will be conducted through an adjacent Capacity Building and Training Centre to be established as part of the project. This centre will: Facilitate village-level kick-start enterprises. Create forward and backward market linkages. Provide and bridging skill development, technical training, and business incubation support. Mushroom cultivation and it's value addition. The integrated approach will promote rural industrialization, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy generation, and enhanced export potential through Odisha’s port infrastructure.
