We at Makers Hive are striving to create a better life for upper limb amputees, who can't afford a fully functional bionic hand currently available at a very high price in the market, by making an in-house built cutting-edge economical prosthetic hand that is completely affordable and accessible to even the economically challenged masses both nationally and internationally. Currently there are about 35 million people in the world that are suffering with limb amputations and need prosthetics. India alone has an amputee population over 6 million of which about 2 million being the below elbow amputees. We are in the process of developing a fully functional Myo-Electric Bionic Hand. It features: 1) 14 gripping positions - A diverse range of gripping positions to equip the user with unhindered agility 2) Custom Modes - Offers 4 mode namely Sports, Fitness, Office, and Gardening to help the user choose the gripping positions easily 3) Smart Battery - Easy rechargeable on fit battery. Percentage of charge can also be viewed in the mobile application 4) Supports up to 8 Kgs - Equips the user with a capability to lift up to 8 Kgs of weight effortlessly 5) Firmware Upgrade - No more queuing up for updates, we bring you over the air device updates 6) Android Support - Provides a better user experience through mobile application 7) Performance Monitor - Monitors the health of the device, functioning of sensors and motor interface 8) Color Customization - Designed to meet the likability of every user This project helps us solve both the economic and physical challenges faced by the amputees with an integrated cutting-edge technology.at an affordable price. Our product also comes with a - -> smart battery, -> bespoke model, -> supports up to 8 Kgs, -> mobile application and so on. The mobile application offers a wide range of services including, not limited to, 1) offers a wide range of services, 2) can be used to monitor the device health, battery status, functionality of nodes and motors, etc., 3) can track the EMG signal diagnostics, 4) has a user guide to practice the 14 gripping positions, 5) has a facilitating factor to update firmware of the device over the air, and many more attractive features to come in the future. Our main feature is the product price as it is being offered at only INR 2.5 lakhs which is approximately at (1/10)th of the market price of our competition and affordable to even the economically challenged amputee population.
