Knotbook is a dating app for commitment-ready Indian singles who are looking for long-term relationships/marriages. We are not focused on casual dating or hook-ups. Our app would be a middle ground between dating and matrimonial apps in terms of intention and progressiveness, thereby being unique in the user's experience. We are a modern matrimonial for Indian singles. Knotbook does not turn online dating into a Hot-or-Not game. It works by recommending matches to users based on a proprietary algorithm that runs every day at 9 AM to provide compatible matches for the users based on their values and interests. The algorithm restricts the number of active matches for any user to a maximum of 3, enabling only high intent dating. The app focuses on the user's values, ideologies, and interests by asking a detailed set of 45 well-researched from 1000+ users from our beta testing proves the effectiveness of this app experience and the need for it. We offer exclusive features like family and friends endorsements which improves our matching algorithm and enhances user engagement. The app offers a high-quality experience by taking steps to ensure that the user has a safe and secure space by proactively restricting spammers and scammers. Indians still do not have an application to meet compatible partners based on the above parameters. Traditional matrimonial apps cater to the parents. These apps focus on factors such as religion, family, and wealth. Dating apps have a swipe or request connection feature to match people. While existing dating apps tend to leverage psychological tricks to make their apps more addictive, we aim to slow things down in order to allow users to once again focus on romance and conversations. There are no endless catalogues of headshots to swipe upon in Knotbook. Instead, we send only one match per day and limit active connections to three.
