MeMyFolks Pvt. Ltd. is a company founded by two enterprising women in 2022, with a view to enable upholding the family system which is an essential part of the Indian ethos. Having come from traditional families, they had a close bonding with members of their extended families, and experienced the joy and benefits of such a system. Strong bonding between families has significant social impact and provide a safety net in difficult times. They help cushion the adversities and support the family members to stand firmly. However, they were dismayed to observe that, with families spreading far and wide, the ties became weaker and interactions rare. While earlier families would frequently meet during festivals, weddings or other occasions, vacations etc., because of distance and work schedules, such meets have substantially reduced. As women rooted in family culture and traditions, they wanted to use technology for connecting families and bringing them closer. While Social media platforms do exist where members can connect, they can do so only when they know each other. Hence, they thought of a platform where only family members can connect and interact, which resulted in founding of MeMyFolks Pvt. Ltd., a secure and interactive online platform for extended members of the family to connect and engage with each other, which can also be a repository of family history and information. MeMyFolks Pvt. Ltd., is a true example of Nari Shakti or women’s empowerment as it is started by Ms. Kirthi Raj Kamabdur – CEO, a technocrat who has worked in startups and large IT companies, and Ms. Usha Gururaj – Director, an Ex Banker who has long experience in banking and finance. The founders are supported by an Advisory Team consisting of eminent personalities from varied backgrounds such as Information Technology, Marketing and Business Development.
