Moavi was born with a simple purpose of reviving the crafts of India by helping artisans get their fair due and making them feel respected for their unique skills. As the years passed, Moavi turned into an enterprise born from the love for crafts into a name synonymous with hand-woven, hand stitched and hand crafted products that aim at touching many lives and spreading happiness. We take pride in being able to improve lives by practicing fair trade and using sustainable natural fabrics. Conceptualization, drawing, embroidery, stitching and finishing of each product happen at the Gurgaon based studio. For base fabrics, prototype is made in-house and then it is sent to the weavers in respective hand-weaving clusters as per the design requirement. At Moavi we are committed to 100% handmade and while designing our aim is to create a product that the world can use and be proud of. Each piece at Moavi boasts of exquisite craftsmanship and celebrates the diverse heritage of India. The focus of the collections is to work with Hand woven bases and the Indian Hand embroidery techniques that are rare to find and are on the verge of extinction due to urbanisation of craft communities and low wages paid to the artisans. We recruit and train young artisans from across the country with the hope that keeping the young generation employed will ensure continuation of the crafts.
